Spacecraft On-Board Computer (OBC)

A rad-hard flight computer designed for satellite applications.

The radiation hardened processor derived from PowerPC 603e TM (RHPPC) On-Board Computer (OBC) is a fully redundant, self-contained flight computer for satellite applications.

A dual-string Single Board Computer with 28V-70V power supply provides all the horsepower and interfacing needed for most satellite bus control missions.

The heart of the computer is the radiation-hardened version of the PPC 603e processor which can withstand the most stringent radiation environment ever built, including strategic missions.

Processing capability is 152 DMIPS with up to 32MB of Radiation Hardened SRAM and 4MB EEPROM provides the needed processing capability and memory for most spacecraft control applications. Main command interface is MIL-STD-1553. The RHPPC OBC includes a mature software development environment combined with a VxWorks board support package (BSP).
